Ryan Solski's Folklore... Between Day and Night,
The Animal Kingdom, Comedic Horror, & Cartoons

Ryan Solski's work is mostly illustrative and encompasses themes which are rooted in Dreams. He is a graduate from Ontario College of Art & Design... where he received a Diploma for Integrated Media (Fine Arts), in 2005. When it comes to work, not much can hold Ryan back from creating a plethora of material in a presentable and storable manner, with more than 200 Artist Books created in the early part of his career. At this point Ryan has participated in 55 Gallery Shows... currently exhibiting illustrations from his Artist Books.
He's been working his second year on a 200 page full colour hardcover graphic novel. This year and last, the focus in galleries has been showing pages from the book before publication for sale, promotion, showcase, & fun. After the book is complete he's planning something similar although possibly with different themes - Maybe a sequel or the second volume?
This year Ryan is focusing on narrative based projects including an illustrated young adults novel about Elves in the Dark Age called DARK, and a 48 page graphic novel starring a new character called Red. The graphic novel is available online previous to full publishing as Ryan's first fully plotted & coloured online comic. Both works are full colour and demonstrate his painting style and often whimsical approach to his fun and friendly world.
Short fiction works are also available. Go to Ryan's Comics section to view his latest additions in the narrative realm of short fiction and character. These works harken back to Ryan's earlier internet works of the short comic, and custom creation - Its more about style with substance!
Ryan's work is all fiction, so have fun with it, and enjoy the visuals.
